Diagnostic/Repair
If you wish, we will diagnose and repair any issues with your Blade CP, from severe crash repair to simple fine tuning; however, we urge everyone to explore http://www.bladecprepair.com, an excellent site devoted to the Blade CP, and try to remedy their problem themselves. While we believe that a big part of this hobby is building/fixing/problem solving; we realize that many do not share our views and just want their helicopters to work. Since we have many parts onstock, we can easily and quickly diagnose complex problems by swapping parts, allowing the problem to be solved by only replacing the necessary parts and saving money. An example of this is a complete head assembly swap, it takes less than a minute to swap the entire head assembly and the problem will be isolated just as quickly. If you fall into this group or can not remedy your problem, you can send us your helicopter and we will diagnose and correct your problem. For customers located in MI, we may be able to arrange drop off/pick up to save shipping. Since the problems encountered are very diverse, please email us and we will send our recommendation. An overview of the process is:
Jumpy Flight Customer's Blade CP was very jumpy in flight and they were not sure if it was radio glitch, main motor, collective binding, some kind of misadjustment, and wasn't sure what part to change first. Since they didn't have access to parts to try, they feared the total cost of repair. We received their helicopter and immediately suspected a sticking collective. We swapped rotor head assembly to confirm. We then determined that it was rotor head binding on the center hub. We were able to fix the issue by cleaning and lubricating the parts, cost to customer was $30 plus shipping. Developing "Wobble" This problem was a little more unique. This customer's Blade CP ran smoothly while holding it in hand, while spinning up, and during intial flight. After flying for a short period, it would start a "wobble" that would increase in intensity until an inevitable crash would occur. The customer had repeatably balanced the blades, adjusted the tracking, checked the main shaft, and some other things. We determined the problem was a bent spindle. We replaced the spindle and returned the now smooth flying helicopter to the customer, total cost was $40 plus shipping. |
